I How we make it
From wax to gold
Every ring passes through four stages. Scroll on and your ring goes through them on screen: the shape stays, the material changes.
02Casting
The wax is burned out of a plaster mould and metal takes its place. The ring comes out matt and rough.
03Sanding
We remove the casting marks by hand, from coarse paper to fine. The surface turns even and satin.
04Polishing
Pastes bring it to a mirror finish, then we set the stones and stamp the hallmark. Prefer a matt ring? We stop at step 03.

IV Ring size
Your size, at home, in a minute
Ring size is the circumference of your finger in millimetres. You need a strip of paper and a ruler.

- Wrap your finger
With a strip of paper at the base: snug, not tight.
- Mark
The spot where the paper overlaps itself.
- Measure
The length to the mark in millimetres is your size.
- Measure in the evening, when your hands are warm: fingers are slimmer in the morning and in the cold.
- A wide band sits tighter: for 5–6 mm, go up half a size.
- Not sure? At the fitting we check the size with gauge rings.

VI Questions
The short answers
How long until the rings are ready?
Three weeks from the fitting: a week for the wax model and casting, a week for finishing, a week for stones and engraving. Rush orders take 10 working days.
Can you melt down our own gold?
Yes. We weigh the metal in front of you and credit it against the price. If old pieces hold a lot of solder, we may suggest topping up with fresh metal.
What if the size turns out wrong?
Within a year we resize once, up or down, free of charge. Rings with a line of stones are resized with more care; we explain at the fitting.
Is there a guarantee?
A lifetime guarantee on casting and stone setting. Polishing and a stone check are free whenever you bring the rings in.
